“if you listen closely…”

i just watched whisper of the heart and i loved it. i was kind of surprised that i skipped over it seeing how i’ve watched most of studio ghibli’s films and how i love them so much!

anyhow, i know it may sound weird, but i saw a part of myself in shizuku, the main character. i don’t know, but many of her main qualities are mine as well – an avid bookworm and an aspiring writer, a straight-a-student-gone-slacker, a lover of fairytales; unconfident, oblivious, outgoing and vivacious.

prom dress & formspring

i got my junior prom dress fucking finally! oh, and a random note: i got a formspring! ask me questions here (:

feb. 27, winter wonderland theme. yes, i realize it’s neither white nor wintry but i love it; the only problem i have with it, though, is how the feathers were harvested. they’re genuine ostrich feathers, but they were all so tiny, i just assumed that they were gathered after the ostrich had molted. i feel like if they had been plucked or clipped, etc. the dress would have been tons more expensive, but i dont know..

i’m totally against animal cruelty and now i feel like a complete asshole if the feathers were inhumanely harvested and ugh, fml. this makes me so upset, seriously.

canon 500d

i really, really want this. look how freaking gorgeous it is, ahh!
i got my rebel xti back in june 2008 and i know it hasn’t even been two years, but i still really want the 500d (xt1).. am i being greedy? whatever.

i’ve entered the “my favorite photo (i’ve ever taken) 2″ contest hosted by brickfish and would greatly appreciate any and all votes!
i’m aiming to make it into the top 150 because then i get chance at winning $600 cash/scholarship, and everyone – especially me – loves $$$ mwahaha. but no seriously, it’s my junior year and i’m looking to apply to rather expensive colleges so i’m looking at all scholarship opportunities because everyone can afford to save some cash.

and it’s something quite peculiar, something that’s shimmering and white

i’ve abandoned way too many online journals that i can’t believe i’m starting another one, but here it goes:

i chose ‘c’est la vie’ because my day-to-day life basically applies to the saying; the quote’s so simple, but profound and beautiful. i plan to post my photography, drawings, literature/writing, and the monotony of my life here.
